Virtual Pitch Event

Startlabz was founded early 2019 with a focus on supporting early stage (pre-seed) startups in the MENA region. The program helps those startups fundraise at an early stage to help them reach stages that qualify them for institutional investment. 

In order to achieve this, Startlabz launched a virtual pitch event where investors who are interested in this stage of investment can watch startups pitch and syndicate to raise the amount required.

We are an Angel Syndicate Network that consists of several angel investment clubs across the region. Every Angel Investment Club is made of a group of angel investors who share the same region and investment goals.

About The Event

Every year there are three rounds where 4-6 regional startups will qualify to pitch their ideas. Startlabz was developed to encourage small businesses to join the tech community in Jordan and the region. 

To attend our first event as an investor, you should look at your $100 ticket fee as an opportunity:

• to get access to pre-selected and well groomed startups from the region, who will be ready to receive your investment at an early stage with reasonable valuations and fair risk.
• to gain insights from other investors who will be at the event and be able to syndicate with them to co-invest in order to meet the investment goals of the startups
• to find high quality investment opportunities in the MENA’s startup space where you may become a mentor, board member, or strategic partner.

Our 6 Startups:

1. Promising business ideas that are tailored to the region
2. Well trained entrepreneurs who are looking to offer equity in exchange of cash investments.
3. Investments ranging from $5,000 up to $100,000

The Event

6 startups will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas for 10 minute and another 10 minutes will be allocated for question & answer. If investors are convinced, then they may announce their interest. Once the event is done, investors can share their interest with StartLabz, and we will facilitate the next steps that bring the investors and selected startups together. 

What to expect from the business pitches?

1. Proof of Concept: proof they have something their targeted customers want. 
2. A valuation that stacks up with a clear investment allocation plan.
